All About Me

This is probably way more than you ever wanted to know about me. Because I like to talk about myself. I could talk about myself for hours and hours and hours. Because I'm narcissistic that way.

I have a husband who is a total techmological geek. The baby really needs to take more naps, but he's cute nonetheless. Sometimes I want to throw both of them out the window. But that's another story.

I have a cat and a dog who are slowly trying to take over the world, Pinky and the Brain style.

I am a nanny. Sometimes my day's conversations consist of:

(me changing 2 year-old's diaper)

me: "just pee-pee, no poopies in this diaper! :O)"

2 year-old: (quiet, pensive perhaps?)

2 year-old: "I make more."

me: "you make more what?"

2 year-old: "poopies. I make more poopies."

me: "oh."

And the conversation will continue. Yes, this is the extent, perhaps even the highlight, of my day.

My son is fantastic. He's currently 18 months old, and walking, and talking, and generally becoming a little person. He looks just like his daddy.

His daddy, Jes, is a total geek. He loves his video games, and his job as a Sr. Software Engineer at Red Hat. That's why we're in Boston.

We're originally from Eastern Washington state, then we moved to Seattle so I could go to college at the University of Washington. I have a degree in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts, with a minor in Art History. I also studied in Mexico, and am very proficient in the Spanish language, which I love. I also lovelovelove all things crafty, and currently keep myself busy with at least three knitting patterns at all times, and a scrapbook or two. Someday we'll have room for a craft room and I can keep my quilting and painting supplies out at all times, but for now I'm relegated to things I can do on my lap or the kitchen table.
